Differentiated Instruction is a pedagogical shift in thinking that attempts to engage the learner by changing one or more of the following:
•1. Differentiating the Content/Topic
•2. Differentiating the Process/Activities
•3. Differentiating the Product
•4. Differentiating By Manipulating The Environment or Through Accommodating Individual Learning Styles
Now, even 4 things seem to large a task to undertake. So my own experience has been to try and change only a couple of things in each class. Fortunately, The City has built into it many ways to differentiate each activity and to change the environment. So even if you don't know where and how to begin, start with the City.
